Spontaneous Combustion

I was stuck in traffic in Atlanta due to a lane being closed. When I approached the area of concern, I saw a bunch of workmen and a sign that said, "Caution: Gas Leak." Okay, um, that freaked me out a little. But not quite as much as when the man in the car in front of me rolled down his window and lit a cigarette. I literally unlocked my car doors and put my hand on the handle in case I had to run. Fast.

Wow. Stephanie stuck in traffic and there wasn't a semi involved.

you dodged a bullet, thank goodness. cuz if the car in front of you would have blown you probably couldn't have gotten out fast enough.

I wonder what the guidelines are down there...seems like if there was an actual gas leak, they wouldn't have traffic at a standstill with cars and people all around... up here in the North, they generally try to get rid of the people around when there's a gas leak... Do Southerners light up at gas stations as well?

I don't think I would've made it either! I couldn't believe him. I'm not sure about the guidelines here, but we do have those warnings about lighting up at the gas station. People are just stupid!!
