Even though last night was Zach's birthday, I scored big-time. My dad went to a private meet-and-greet with Mark Richt the other night. I really wanted something autographed—preferably a helmet—and my dad totally delivered. He paid out the nose for a mini helmet that Coach Richt personalized. Everyone else got a "Go Dawgs, Mark Richt," but mine says, "Steph, Go Dawgs, Mark Richt." Like we're buds. And the coolest part? My dad didn't try to make it a birthday gift, which he totally could have. Woo!
(Disclaimer: The photo stinks, sorry. The helmet is shiny, and I can't get good light!)

Aren't you glad you know people in high places?
Mom
Wow, and earlier this week you were whining about your dad going to the event without you and getting a helmet signed for himself but not for you...
For sure, mom!
I know, I was totally whining. In all fairness, my dad already had his helmet and just thought to take it last year. He didn't, like, leave me out on purpose.
Glad you straightened that out about Dad not leaving you out on purpose. After all, you are his favorite (or so you say)!
Oh my God, I shouldn't do this, but we're preseason number one, and I just turned 30, and the coolest thing I got (and it is the coolest) was "Dooley: My Forty Years At Georgia," autographed by Vince himself to "Andy, a Top Dawg in Nashville." The Munson bobblehead was pretty cool too. . .
Mo-om, I AM dad's favorite. I think everyone knows by now.
Andy, I totally got the bobblehead too. It rocks! And btw, that autograph is awesome.
Also, Andy, I don't know you, but that should be the last time you ever speak of the preseason ranking! I'm so nervous!
Stafford will deliver us. It's his time, and MoMass is ready. Knowshon and Caleb will be ready. I'm not necessarily overly worried about Florida, but a little. Urbie can whine all he wants, but he ain't no Spurrier. Regardless, we must destroy Tennessee, even if we have to black them out.
And you do know me. I bleed red and black. :)
I do? Or I just know you as a member of the Bulldog Nation? Do you blog, Andy?
Uh oh.

OMG.
So you take licks all summer/fall long with a helmet on, but a beer bottle sends you to the hospital? Sometimes I wish the Techies at the AJC would just cover architecture. . .
No, I don't blog. I'm a friend of one your own, but you're a Dawg, so I couldn't resist.
Ahh, yes, Andy. You nailed it. Gotta love the AJC. My hometown paper is worse though (Columbus, GA).
You're welcome anytime, thanks for visiting!
And thank you. Will you be heading to Sanford at the end of the month to see UGA VII's debut against GA Southern?
I always miss that game because we take a big family beach trip Labor Day weekend. But I'll be there after that! Paid too much for those tickets :)
I hope he's precious, he will be, but I hope he (or she, but I doubt the Seiler's would allow that) takes up shop in the dog house like a king. I guess I'll be there, sweating it out and fighting the traffic after.
My only advice is to avoid the parking decks! And, please, hit the Taco Stand for me.
I will! Hit the taco stand, I mean.
Your team would probably in better shape if your players would stop getting arrested. I'm just sayin'...
Ohhhhh, Bowlby. No you din't!!!
