How can people NOT be ready for the digital TV conversion? Haven't we been hearing about this for, oh, at least two years? I could totally be in Congress.

Word. If you haven't figured this out by now, you don't deserve to watch TV.
Good call, and I totally agree, however... think of it this way... you were in college and had a big project due. Did you do it the night it was assigned to get it out of the way OR wait until mindnight before it was due and stay up all night to get it finished? Because it's kind of the same thing.
I would have done it when it was assigned.
But since I didn't go to college, we will never know, will we?
All I know....is my tv is ready. Cuz I take my tv very seriously.
I sent off for a coupon last year for my Grandma. She had to get the converter because she doesn't have cable. And it works great—she gets more stations and they're really clear. It's not fair to push this back. I read that PBS is going to have to cut programming because it's going to cost them more money.
What? I've never heard about this. You say there's some sort of conversion. I haven't heard five million jillion commercials about this subject in a two month period.
