I spent this past weekend in Nashville with a friend from college and a bunch of other folks who enjoy The Fun as much as I do.
I told you there were others out there like me.
Anyway, I am super pumped that my girls' weekend in Nashville/Kings of Leon concert coincides with the UGA/Vandy game, 1. because I want to attend the game and 2. because this means I can have some more of The Fun with Jones. I've already bragged about his legendary skillz to my friends. He is The Karaoke King. For his part, Jones has agreed to absolutely bring it.
I quote: "You tell me the song you want me to rock, and I'll make it happen."
Internet people, I need help. Please, no 867-5309 or Jessie's Girl. He took care of that this past weekend at Lonnie's. Dig deep, be creative. Leave your selections in the comments as usual. Once I narrow down the options, there will be a poll. And I know how much y'all love a poll.
Come on folks. This man's talent knows no limit. Ready? Set. Go!

Total Eclipse of the Heart
"I Feel Pretty"
"Oops I Did It Again" by Britney. Complete with the accompanying dance moves.
"Dancing on the Ceiling"
I'm going to need a performance of "Mr. Jones" as an encore. You knew it was coming.
Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley... need I say more?
Time After Time
(after time after time after time)
What? Y'all are weird. I don't know why you'd even suggest anything other than Bon Jovi. Specifically, "Wanted: Dead or Alive."
You're welcome.
I assume there will be a video?
"Hold On" by Wilson Phillips
Just Wanna Be With You (Enrique Iglesias)
(ooooh ahhhh)
Alright, Jonesie. I've put some thought in to this.
"I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys.
Release date: 1999. One more band that needs to be included on the College 2.0 House Party CD. Cheesy boy bands must be a part of the experience.
Meet Me Halfway (Kenny Loggins)
My go to karaoke song is always "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves," but any Cher will do.
What a great, eclectic mix of tunes. "Never Gonna Give You Up" is one of my all time faves. Just want to let you guys know that I can croon the rap music line nobody's bizness.
Old-school rap, yes?
How about a little Dre: "Keep Their Heads Ringin'." So glad that one made the playlist.
My best Karaoke song is "Love Shack" by the B-52s. But, of course, I'm a girl. My best Rock Band song is "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi... you've gotta watch that transition at the end, though, because it gets pretty high! Good luck--can't wait to see the poll.
Don't Stop Believin'
We Belong
Hard to Say I'm Sorry
Or, to test the vocal range, Take On Me
"If You Leave Me Now" by Chicago
"next to be with you" -mr big
'paradise city'-guns n'roses or you could always pull a tribute and go with mj's 'man in the mirror'
My Sharonna
In honor of your great news, "Celbrate" by Three Dog Night
:D
Uhh, that would be "Celebrate." Sorry for the typo.
So many amazing options here - WOW!! I really can't settle on one...so here are two.
1. "Bye Bye Bye" - in honor of boy bands worldwide
2. "Hit Me With Your Best Shot"
George Michael's "Freedom"
What do I win? Clearly, this is THE choice.
Hey. Got another.
Madonna: "Love Don't Live Here Anymore"
Jen's on a roll.
hmmm how about
"I love you always forever" by Donna Lewis
OR
"Love Game" by Lady Gaga (not sure if they would have that out for karaoke tho)
OR
"livin' la vida loca" by Ricky Martin
OMG. How about I have sung about....80% of all the songs listed.
Some of my favorites:
Queen—Bicycle Race
Queen—Somebody to Love (one of my specialties)
One Night In Bangkok from the musical "Chess"....another one of my very special songs
Cranberries—Zombie
LL Cool J—I'm Bad
Loverboy—Turn Me Loose
I heart karaoke. And you know this, Steph.
Here are my top picks: Jessie's Girl (Rick Springfield), Ridin' Dirty (Chamillionaire), and Never Gonna Give You Up (Rick Astley).
