What do you do with baby Jesus?

Does he stay in the Nativity during the entire holiday season, or do you only add him on December 25th?

I have several Nativity sets, and the baby Jesus stays out the entire time.

From Katie's Aunt Tammy in Indiana. Baby Jesus is never out until Christmas morning. As a matter of fact, he is hidden and our daughters, who are now 24 and 26 years old, still love the tradition of finding him to put him in the manger.

I don't care if it rains or freezes,
Long as I have my plastic Jesus,
Riding on the dashboard of my car.
Through all trials and tribulations,
We will travel every nation,
With my plastic Jesus I'll go far.

Now, I feel, the best movie ever. Even though I just watched it last night.

Mary is holding baby Jesus in my nativity set. That bothers me. When I grew up, we never put him in the manger till Christmas Day.

My stepmom usually doesn't put him out until Christmas day. Last year, he was in the manger before Christmas and my little sister and my brother's girlfriend and Jacob wrote a ransom note that said "If you ever want to see Baby Jesus again, you'll leave $50,000 in umarked bills..." and then they hid him in the sugar bowl. Is that wrong?
We laughed so hard when my stepmom found the note.
